Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Rees R — 13 Mar 2014
32 years later, this is still one of the best if not the best Star Trek movie ever made. The plot was so good that JJ Abrahms borrowed most of it when he wrote Into Darkness (which was too bad, because Into Darkness had so much potential, but to any dyed-in-the-wool trekkie feels cliche).
Montalban's reprisal as Khan is amazing, and the interaction and gamemenship between Khan and Kirk permeates right through the screen and burrows into your mind.
It's truly a must see. When my son (age 6) is a couple years older, Space Seed then Wrath of Khan is how I will introduce him to the Genre.
