Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Sarah A — 09 Mar 2008
This movie has great moments, but the whole nexus thing (obviously over-contrived to get Kirk & Picard together) basically kills the concept. I was also disappointed in how much the Enterprise D interiors and lighting changed since "All Good Things" (in the time from stardate 47988 to 48632.
4...not even a year). My favorite scenes are Picard telling Troi about his brother's and nephew's deaths, Kirk saving the Enterprise B, the Enterprise D crash landing, and Picard dressing down Data in stellar cartography.
This movie is the only place you'll see TNG peeps wearing the first DS9 uniforms (except for Worf).
