Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Tori D — 21 Mar 2009
Not bad, having finally seen it straight through. It's well-paced, well-made, and well-structured. I now find it to be a bit underrated, because the movie has a pretty bold moral. The fact that as people we must survive based on pure nature, and not try to exceed our being (as in mortality).
The movie also adds a good amount of what I call "pro/f'ing pro/f'd". Afterall, when you have Kirk; an overweight, retired Captain of the Enterprise outsmarting, outdoing, and outplaying everyone who crosses his path, it's hard to not say this is a great movie for pure enjoyment.
