The Next Gen portions of this film I love so much, i.e. everything based on the Enterprise-D. However, the Nexus, Kirk, Soran, not so much. But the good outweighs the bad and the torch is passed well from the original cast to the Next Generation crew.
Whoopi Goldberg written into the story well. The Enterprise-D's crash sequence is fantastic and did make me sad first time but TNG crew did need a more impressive looking ship for the big screen I guess.
