Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Butch R — 26 Apr 2010
The second best TNG movie ever. Malcolm McDowell played possibly the best TNG villain we saw in the movies (Alice Krieg being the only real competition). Just why the TNG creative staff was obsessed with killing Kirk, I've never understood.
TNG has been established for 7 seasons on tv and was doing fine on it's own. The script has a very quickly done feel to it and that's because it was done in less than a month. I expected more from the first TNG movie but this isn't horrible.
Besides, at least we got to see 3 captains of the Enterprise in this one. Even if the "other" captain's command abilities might be delivered next Tuesday with everything else on the "B".
