Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Itamar K — 25 May 2010
Certainly not as entertaining or engaging as some Star Trek films. Malcolm McDowell plays a rather bland villain--he's more of an intergalactic inconvenience than anything. even the Klingons, in their brief appearance, aren't that interesting.
the character development is virtually nonexistent, as the "Kirk and Picard" plot takes center stage. the whole subplot about Data's emotion chip seemed really forced and unnecessary as well.
enjoyable, but much like Star Trek I, this debut film did not do much to enhance its respective TV series.
