Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Alec B — 21 Jan 2014
I think it's important to note that the cast of the original series never got the finale they deserved on TV so having a film series for them made sense . . . since the cast of TNG actually got seven full seasons with an actual ending its harder to justify another series of films.
It doesn't help to have their first movie be this mostly boring mess. Yes its ambitious but it never finds a way to fully develop any it's ideas.
