A fairly inauspicious film debut for the TNG crew, "Generations" spent too much time worrying about passing the torch to take the series in interesting new directions quite yet, or even construct a particularly absorbing narrative while they're at it.
And I personally was more choked by the Enterprise D's demise than by Kirk's end. But it does have Star Trek's first honest-to-god curse word, so it can't be all bad...
