Review of Star Trek: Generations (1994) by Evalena I — 29 Oct 2009
3: Excellent picture and a perfect bridge between the two crews. The difference between Picard and Kirk are never more obvious than they are here. The scenes within the Nexus, as well as on the USS Enterprise, will always be burned into my memory.
They somehow seem much more vivid than most. McDowell is excellent as well; he's definitely one of the better villains. The growth of Data is interesting as always. The special effects were certainly taken to the next level now that TNG is involved.
The only real disappointing part of the film is the lack of screen time aportioned to the rest of The Next Generation crew, but this is unavoidable due to the necessity of dividing up the film between TOS and TNG.
This definitely makes me long for TNG to be released on Blu-Ray. I haven't seen it in years.
