Extremely entertaining and emotional. Doesn't entirely make for a fan only film, but a lot of background would be missing for the newcomer. A couple of episodes or a quick wikipedia read would catch up any non fan.
Action scenes are amazing and the implications of the film take the story to a new level changing the story of the Borg for all future Star Trek episodes. Must own for any Trek fan.
