People said it was mindless, and to a small degree it kind of is. It built pieces of a long-forgotten civilization and it gets one's imagination going on how everything built to that point, but they manage to make it cohesive and flow well enough that it is enjoyable.
Some hardcore traditionalist fans may balk at some of it, but I liked it.
