Review of Star Trek Beyond (2016) by Vadertime — 21 Jul 2016

So, the commercials and previews heightened my expectations more than they should have. This was a good, solid outing, but I don't think it was a good as the first two movies since the reboot of the franchise.

I'm not sure that Krall's character was fully developed since he starts out as a villain and ends up more like a vengeful, tragic figure. Sofia Boutella needed to be a far more central character. Spock and Bones are developing nicely as is Kirk.

Let's move on to the 4th movie.
