Another entertaining big-screen adventure in the new Star Trek Universe. The villain is a forgettable Ivan Ooze clone and very little in the way of character development or meaningful plot happens in the course of the story; it's something like a 'monster of the week' episode of the old Star Trek.
That said, the action is entertaining and the visuals are impressive.
