Review of Star Trek Beyond (2016) by Neil B — 27 Dec 2016
A spell binding first hour with fantastic journeys, magical effects and the characters we all know and love. All the adventure you can handle. Then, after 60 minutes, Lin ejected the tone of the movie into space.
It was falling flat, Scotty couldn't restore the magic, the saucer had become depressurised. 1st hour five stars, 2nd hour one star - average 3 stars. Would have, should have, could have been the best of the franchise by far.
What a shame.
