An excellent way of continuing the story without interfering with the original series. Abrams' idea of an alternate timeline is fantastic. Now he can stray from source material and create his own stories.
Much like Into Darkness which strayed from Wrath Of Khan. Although people didn't like that I thought it worked superbly. Back to the point. This was an amazing film with Eric Bana portraying Nero in an exceptional manner.
