Review of Star Trek (2009) by Kameron W — 19 Jun 2016
One of my favorite movies of all time and I am a huge Star Wars fan. Growing up I never cared for Star Trek, I thought it was stupid and for nerds and I thought Star Wars was cooler. This movie did the impossible for me, it didn't make me like Star Trek, this movie made me love Star Trek.
Not only a great sci-fi flick, it's a wonderfully put together film with non stop thrills, emotion, and such a great script (although it upsets old school fans like my father). Bottom line this movie is the real reason JJ Abrams was selected to direct The Force Awakens and had he not directed this movie so well he would not have directed Star Wars and we'd be left without a phenomenal Star Trek and Star Wars film.
