This movie brought much needed life to the franchise. The cinematography of J.J. Abrams really shines here. Really the only flaws of this movie are the inconsistencies with established Trek canon and scientific inconsistencies (Star Trek has taken liberties with but always tried to keep at least one foot in the scientific realm).
A great introduction to the series.
