Not up to Bob Fosse's usual standard but a nonfiction tale of a shy Canadian girl who is swept off her feet but a much older man who uses her to attain the success that always eluded him. Sad story.
Makes Peter Bogdonavich look a little creepy - after Dorothy Stratten died, he took up with her much younger sister many years later!
