Review of Stanley Kubrick's Boxes (2008) by Jacob N — 31 Dec 2008
As unabashed Kubrick fan, I found this documentary endlessly entertaining and interesting. It validates Kubrick's reputation for perfection in his work and life and gives us great insight into his work.
It's probably as close as we are going to get to a real look at his process. The video he shot for his acceptance speech for winning the D.W. Griffith award is touching and reveals a as-of-yet unseen look into the soul of one of the greatest film directors of all time.
