Review of Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures (2001) by Bryan T — 14 Aug 2012
Not a bad movie by any means necessary, but not a great one either. Its mediocre, its not the documentary a legendary director like Kubrick deserves. I wanted to learn about this great man, about his life and mind, but all I learned about were his pictures, which is not bad, I feel like I understand the meanings of his movies a little better now, but still I wanted to learn about his life.
The title is very misleading. Still, if you're a fan of Kubrick's, which you should be, I would recommend you see this, just to understand his pictures and the work that went into putting them together.
If you're one who would like to learn about the man, I suggest you look elsewhere.
