Review of Standing in the Shadows of Motown (2002) by Michael H — 30 Mar 2008
This is an aural treat but nothing I would consider a good documentary. This film doesn't amount to much more than a hundred minutes of high fives for the Funk Brothers, and we ultimately learn very little about them other than they played as the band for some great music.
The music and the people are great, but the film that surrounds them amounts to nothing.
