Review:

I wasn't that impressed with this film, even though it does star some top class actors. It was the storyline that really let this film down because it just wasn't that funny and we have seen Pacino and Walken play these type of roles, many times before. The director didn't make good use of the veteran A list cast, and it's time that Pacino stops making a fool of himself on screen and he should go back to doing serious roles, which made the whole world fall in love with his acting. The whole getting old theme throughout the movie becomes a bit tedious after a while and the seriousness from Walken and comedy from Pacino didn't work well. It would have been better if it was a straight out gangster movie without the stupid jokes and one toned storyline. I expected better. Disappointed.

Judging by the money that this movie made, it seems like I wasn't the only one that was disappointed with this film. It's a shame that Pacino & Walken paired up on such a weak project because the chemistry between the 2 actors was great. The endings was appalling because the film was getting better with a bit of action, but the director decided to kick in the credits. From watching Scarface, Pacino has always been one of my favourite actors, but he has messed up his career with some terrible choices. He hasn't done a gangster movie that was impressive since Carlitos Way, and none of the comedies that he has starred in, has been any good. Maybe he should do a Jack Nicholson and Gene Hackman, and call it a day?

I recommend this movie to people who are into there comedies about old time criminals having there last days together. 4/10.
