Review of Stand by Me (1986) by Juancarlos M — 23 May 2012
A wonderfully creative movie of young childhood nostalgia. The adventures of a young band of boys tied together by friendship, pushed by mystery and adventure to venture of into the woods to find the corpse of a dead young boy.
It's a film witty in it's desire to tell the story of these four boys. Narration from one of the boys as in adult also hits a deeper level of story telling, fortifying the simple narrative into something much more abundant.
It's definitely a classic.
