Review of Stand by Me (1986) by Ben P — 27 Jun 2014
For me at least, this movie encapsulates perfectly, the dialogue that is exchanged between boys growing up during a time period of vulnerability and un-assuredness. Its a good study in the psychology of childhood friendships.
You're lucky if the friends you had as a child, remain in your lives forever. For most, you never seem to make the kind of friends you had as a kid.
