Endlessly watchable, both in humor and heart, ?Stand By Me? is part of Reiner?s nearly unparalleled run of success from the early 80s to the early 90s. The cast is completely wonderful, with the 4 boys delivering the kind of performances you don?t see anymore, in the kind of mid-budget movie that isn?t made anymore.
A quintessential coming-of-age movie.
