(1986) Stand By Me.
DRAMA.
Adapted from 1 of 4 short stories written by the author, Stephen King from a novel called "Different Seasons", called "The Body", which tells the story, starting with the narrator(Richard Dreyfuss) detailing about experiences with some school chums while growing up in the 1950's, after receiving a letter!
Very remarkable, film which focuses on child adolescent after WWII with some standout performances, who at one time became household names themselves, such as River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Cory Haim and Jerry O' Connor! I also believe that this was also used as a base for the Oscar nominated film "Brokeback Mountain", (even though the story came from a novel as well) also about remeniscent a releationship!
