Review of Stand and Deliver (1988) by Jonathan P — 17 May 2011
The storyline may sound like just another one of a thousand teacher inspires students movie, but Stand and Deliver is for sure one of the better ones. Edward James Olmos is amazing as teacher Jaime Escalante.
His portrayal of the never give up teacher is fantastic. IF for nothing else this movie should be seen for his performance alone. Yet even with Olmos giving such a great performance the storyline is sucks you in and invests you in the success of the students.
Lou Diamond Phillips is also impressive in his role. Nothing but good things can be said about Stand and Deliver.
