Review of Stand and Deliver (1928) by Kim W — 29 Jun 2011

Awesome true story of a man who gave up his job to teach, and went on to teach Mexican high school kids in '82 in L.A. Algebra, then Calculus, and to pass an A.P exam only to have the authorities accuse them of cheating because of their race, so they took it a SECOND time and still passed! Awesome for them that they worked so hard and proved that they were smart! I especially loved at the end of the movie the changing tally of how many more kids passed the A.
