Wow this flick has gotton quite a bit of bad reviews so I'm gonna do it a solid and show more of its good points.

Stan Helsing is a simple spoof on the "Big Six" in American horror films, Leatherface, Pinhead, Chucky, Freddy, Jason, and Mike Meyers. It touches on all of these characters and never tries to be more than a simple spoof. The title character, Stan, is a video retail clerk who just wants to go to a party on Holloween night with his friends, but before he can do so, he must drop video's off to his boss's mother.

The villains here are well balanced, and given their own personalities moreso than the films from which they hail. The "heroes" of the flick are are simple stereotypes that fit in with the horror genres stereotypical teenagers role.

You have the hero, the black guy, the dumb blonde, and finally the love interest, all played solidely by the cast. On they way to their dstination, they are side-tracked the entire way, and once reaching the destination, must go head-to-head with the monsters, along with other locals that are angry with them for numerous reasons.

Overall, not a laugh riot, but not a bad flick by any means. If you enjoy perverted, and immature stoner flicks, you should give this a go. Just don't expect this to be on the scale of Scary Movie 2.

Pros: Awsome cast, decent story, interesting characters.

Cons: Low budget, a few obvious jokes, and a somewhat slow story.
