Review of Stalag 17 (1953) by Charles D — 30 Sep 2007
Good, but not great. From what I read on the IMDB, Holden kept trying to soften his character, Sefton, and make him more sympathetic. After watching the gloriously cynical Ace in the Hole a couple weeks ago, there's no doibt in my mind that Wilder's film would have been better served if Sefton had been an even more selfish and unsympathetic bastard than he already is.
