Review of Stalag 17 (1953) by Jonathan B — 11 Feb 2008
The story here was good, and I liked William Holdenâ??s performance (although he might not have gotten enough screen time to warrant the Best Actor Oscar he won for it), almost everything else though was disappointing.
There were way too many characters thrown in for comic affect alone, and all of them were so annoying I wanted to throw them off a tall building. Having some good laughs in a serious movie is one thing, but this film did not know if it was a comedy or tense thriller.
