Review of Stalag 17 (1953) by Cale R — 09 Sep 2008
Such a fun and entertaining film directed by Billy Wilder. William Holden is great as the POW sergeant who is suspected by his fellow captures that he's a rat. The whole ensemble is great though. Wilder really had a way of making a film exciting and funny.
The scene with Holden and the real rat (I'm not spoiling anything, you don't actually think Holden was the real snitch, did you?) alone together is perfect. A great film.
