In an age of vampire movies filled with soppy teens it's nice to see one get back to all the bleakness - but without the comic book gore of '30 Days of Night' (don't get me wrong, that's allowed, being based on a comic series!).
Best part for me though is the haunting soundtrack in combination with the natural beauty of some of the American wilderness.
