If you're looking for an intelligent and moody post-apocalyptic vampire flick look no further. Written by lead actor Nick Damici Stake Land is a well-crafted work of love created on a shoe string budget but it doesn't hold director Jim Mickle back from creating an effective atmosphere and believable horror movie.
The movie follows Mister, a vampire hunter, and his adopted son/apprentice Marting as they search for the fabled New Eden: a northern land free and safe from the American vampire infestation.
