Review of Stagecoach (1939) by Ugly T — 04 Feb 2009
There is a great (wanted outlaw) outcast hero, a drunken but clever doc, a 'lost woman' full of human quality, a conventional wife (waiting for a baby, sure), a cold but somehow gentleman gambler and a funny sale agent of alhoolic. These are, for me, main stars of epic Stagecoach. A long, desperate run over the desert to escape from angry Apaches leaded by Geronimo (and they have the arrows too!!).
And , at last, when the end it's close it arrives the 7th (ahhh I jumped high listening that trumpet ) to save the survivals.....wait.. there's some more... there is the revenge of Ringo vs the killers of his beloved and romantic happy end between the two outasts (Ringo+Dallas) !
Nr. 1 CLASSIC WESTERN, FOR SURE !!
