Review of Stagecoach (1939) by Dean T — 12 Jun 2011
An awesome early Western starring John Wayne & a strong ensemble cast the highlight of which is Thomas Mitchell (who must surely be one of the all-time great character actors). The conflict in the movie mostly comes from the class prejudices & tensions within this disperate group of people thrown together.
The penultimate action scene of the stagecoach attempting to outrun Apache's is breathtaking. Truly great.
