Review of Stage Beauty (2004) by Ariane R — 08 May 2006

I found it really deep... although it may not seem like it.... the things both characters said were so beautiful... e.g.

Billy Crudup: (with a wonderful english accent) women do everything beautifully. they even die beautifully... there is nothing in playing a man, nothing beautiful about that.

Then Claire Danes: (also lovely english accent) your tutor did you a great disadvantage. He taught you how to act like a woman, to swoon, to DIE beautifully!... but he never taught you to SUFFER like a woman! A woman would fight, no matter how much she loved the man. Women FIGHT!
