Review of St. Vincent (2014) by Nate K — 26 Feb 2015
I've been wanting to see this movie since it was filming in my neighborhood. As was the case with most movies that came out at the end of last year we just missed out.
St. Vincent is a wonderfully heartwarming/wrenching story about the relationship between the unlikeliest of friends - a crotchety old man and a smart, but innocent, young boy. They rub off on each other in the best of ways and we are left with the message that it is never too late to change who you are.
Vincent's life is awful but it isn't all his fault and Oliver's life is challenging but not foreign to those who had a hard time going through school.
The last 40 minutes of the movie had me in tears. Sure it isn't perfect but for me it was. I highly recommend it.
