This is a good "Don't judge a book by its cover" movie. ***SPOILERS*** I think it was a little far fetched that when he had a seizure, everyone helped him. I didn't feel the character was likable quite yet.
I only really saw Vincent as a Saint, when it was being explained to the audience by Oliver's speech...far into the movie. Oliver recognized his sainthood before a lot of us, which made Oliver a special character.
