Review of St. Vincent (2014) by Richard S — 30 Aug 2015
It's a recycled story from various other movies but none of that really matters because it's so well done. Bill Murray is perfectly cast as the grumpy old man who does things his way, living one day at a time and begrudgingly looking after his neighbour's kid (for a fee).
Melissa McCarthy plays the straight role this time and most of the comedy comes from the scrapes Bill Murray and the kid find themselves in. Pretty decent heart warming drama with plenty of laughs.
