Review of St. Vincent (2014) by Abb J — 09 Oct 2016
St Vincent: Single mom Melissa McCarthy moves into a working class section of New York, and due to long work hours, is forced to have her grouchy, chain smoking, alcoholic, compulsive gambler next door neighbor babysit her 12-year-old son.
The two strike up an unlikely friendship in this schmatzy but well acted story, that proves that sometimes the least likely of people can draw out the best in one another. B+.
