Review of St. Vincent (2014) by Ethan I. V — 12 Dec 2014
Such a great little movie. My first exposure to this film was through a review that said it fell flat and that bill Murray was curmudgeonly and his performance fell flat. This review was in my experience nit picking and rather bias.
The film is about a curmudgeonly character who finds his humanity after having lost it and it in my opinion does not fall flat in relaying this. The film is an uplifting and heartwarming tale of redemption and though it may not be your run of the mill award season film but I feel it deserves a nod and definitely deserves to be seen.
I highly recommend this film especially around Christmas time if you want heartwarming but not holiday themed. It is not a family movie though so younger kids may not be able to handle some of the themes that are dealt with.
Great film go see it!
