Review of St. Elmo's Fire (1985) by Bethany M — 08 Oct 2011
This is to recent college grads what The Breakfast Club is for high school students. It's sad, comical, and bittersweet watching each character try to adjust to adult life. Some flounder. Some succeed.
Sone appear to have it all together, but it's all smoke and mirrors. Rob Lowe, Judd Nelson and Demi Moore deliver the most emotionally dynamic performances, which makes sense since they're playing arguably the most flawed characters.
