Review of Spy Kids (2001) by Movie K — 07 May 2010
Good enough movie for the family. Once upon a time, a lady spy Carla Gugino is task to kill a man spy Antonio Banderas. But they fell in love instead and evetually got married and retire, had 2 kids Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara.
Alan Cumming is a baddie who is also a popular kid show host. He transform spies into characters for his shows and make spy kids robots. Antonio & Carla are back for a mission but was caught. The 2 kids are also in danger when the baddies went after them.
They took a secret sub to the safe house. Antonio is part of a group that develops a super brain years ago and Alan needs it for his army of robots. Teri Hatcher is at the safe house but she turns out to be bad also, searching for the brain.
The kids manage to escape. The brains behind the evil ops Tony Shalhoub sent the robot kids to get the brain and after obtain it, has no use for Alan. The 2 kids went to find Danny Trejo who is their uncle.
He made all the spy products but isn't on good terms with Antonio. They stay over 1 night and took all the stuffs needed to save their parents. At the lair, the robot kids are all planted with the brain.
Daryl save Alan out of the virtual room. The parents are saved and Tony is transform into the ugly creature. Robert Patrick arrive to see the results of the robot kids. Te family of 4 are joni by Danny at the final part against the robots.
Alan re-program the kids and save them all. Now they are a family of secret agents. George Clooney made a cameo at the end as the boss in need of the kids help. The robot kids are now good kids serving the public.
