Review of Spy Game (2001) by Cocker D — 13 Oct 2009
I think this movie is often underrated. This is an intricate thriller with a plot so short and simple that only about a thirty minutes of the film is actually spent on it - the rest is backstory. While that may not sound like a recipe for a quality film, Spy Game makes it work and makes it work brilliantly.
A caveat: this is more drama than straight-up action, so don't go in expecting Mission: Impossible. There's plenty of action, too, but it is presented from a more realistic and less Hollywood viewpoint.
