Review of Spy Game (2001) by Ann L — 13 Mar 2010
SPY GAME.
Very entertaining. An above average, hard-ball espionage thriller that will leave you guessing. This film is a sharp, fast-paced drama featuring dangerous stunts and jaw-dropping plot twists that will make you squirm. Original music heightens the underlying tension and suspense as the story unfolds and the action proceeds. Robert Redford and Brad Pitt give exciting, true-to-life performances as veteran CIA operative, Nathan Muir, and his young protégé Tom Bishop. As time passes and their relationship deepens with each important mission they are able to accomplish together, we see both men struggling hard to keep personal feelings out of their work and maintain some level of professional objectivity. Their very lives depend upon it. But when Tom Bishop falls for a girl of whom his boss does not exactly approve, things get complicated with some surprising results. Realistic special effects.
