A gritty, violent and uplifting story about the strength of friendship, showing how a true friend will sacrifice everything and go to the ends of the earth to save your life when it comes down to it. A great story, intelligent & suprising in it's outcome.
So many films concentrate on the corruptness & evil nature of espionage, and this film does not, it depicts a friend, who is in the only position on earth that can save another friend's life, who goes against all of his previous training, his nature, and his future dreams of retirement to bring his friend out of a Chinese prison where he will surely be executed.
