Review of Spy Game (2001) by Wade H — 26 Feb 2009
A proto-Lions for Lambs in terms of international political boringness starring Redford as a retiring teacher. Scott's direction is improved in his more recent films, this has more of a Enemy of the State feel to it, ie rote and uninspired.
The war scenes are done well but are too short and not numerous enough. Soundtrack is tacky or non-existent, which takes a lot away from the experience.
