Review of Spy (2015) by Bryan C — 30 Sep 2015
Melissa McCarthy is great in this movie (her best work since Bridesmaids), which is right out of the "it's still okay to have fun at the movies" genre. The plot is just as convoluted and nonsensical as any summer spy blockbuster, but it does it all with a wink and sense of humor. It also flips the usual script, with McCarthy proving to be a pretty badass spy and typically suave actors like Jason Statham bumbling things up. Fun stuff!
