Review of Spy (2015) by Jeffrey N — 21 Oct 2015
Melissa McCarthy may live off gimmicks, and by golly do they work. Here she plays Susan Cooper, a desk jockey who yearns for more than just a computer job in a spy agency. If nothing else, this was entertaining as heck, highlighted by a surprisingly funny performance by Jason Statham.
Watching McCarthy dispose of spy after spy made this a worthwhile trip to the Chanhassen Cinema.
